Wonderful recipe! I made the following changes, many of which were recommended by others. A) Reduce: Cream by 1/5, Salt by 1/4, and Chilis by 1/3- 1/2. B)Increase the seafood, because people will inevitably want more of it. C) Use Bay scallops instead of other scallops, if available. D) Saute fresh green peppers and mushrooms in butter with the green onions before adding them to the cream. E) Reserve a small portion of the cream mixture and toss the pasta with it just before serving. F) Don't prepare the pasta until the cream mixture is ready, as the pasta will only take a few minutes to cook and the sauce took longer to prepare than the recipe indicated-- its taste REALLY improves if it is allowed to simmer. |

leftover fish or mashed potatoes. |

This recipe was delicious! This was our first time trying chorizo and
We made it with a few tweaks: used Mexican instead of Spanish chorizo
because we couldn't find it and subbed scallops for the lobster tail and
clams to save a little money. It turned out very well. Even got some
soccorat on the bottom! Would definitely try this again. |
Followed the reciepe exactly. I thought it was very good. You need to use very fresh seafood.

We were recently sent a review copy of Dave's Dinners: A Fresh Approach to Home-Cooked Meals by Dave Lieberman of the Food Network. The following is an adaptation of Dave's Creamy Shrimp Fettuccine recipe. I thought it needed a little more sauce and some greenery, hence the broccoli. It was quite good, and came together quickly. I can imagine lots of variations on the same theme (diced ham instead of shrimp, chopped kale in place of broccoli, or skip the broccoli all together) |
This is my version of
fast food! Thai Curry can be made in less than 10 minutes. In fact, the
part that takes the longest is actually opening the can of coconut milk! There are just a few ingredients in this
dish: Thai curry paste (the small can of curry in
the back), coconut milk, shrimp, red bell pepper sliced and fresh
mushrooms. Not pictured, and optional is fresh basil leaves. |

I can never resist buying jumbo shrimp when they are on sale. I’m talking GIGANTOR shrimp, that really could be mistaken for small lobster tail. The best thing to do with this monsters is to grill them whole, shell-on with a lemongrass and ginger marinade.
