Tis the season to be jolly, and to drink hot mulled cider. This delicious hot apple cider drink is a specialty of New England. Spiced with a clove-studded orange, nutmeg, allspice, and cinnamon, hot mulled cider is the perfect drink to serve during the holidays.

Made this for a holiday luncheon last year. Have already recieved requests to make it again this year. It was delicious. A really adult hot chocolate.

I love the lemon taste but the distinct flavor that the plums added to the lemonade was refreshing. It did not overpower the lemon to make me forget that this was lemonade but instead  added a unique sweetness to it. The ripe plums also helped to reduce the amount of sugar since the fruit was sweet by itself.  I have provided very approximate measures so that you can work around this basic idea to customize it to your taste. And it looked a beauty. You can make this more watery – I liked the color and hence kept it to about 6 cups of water I think. You can add more if you like.

A recipe so easy, even a children can do it. Strawberry milk was my favorite growing up. I have a ton of frozen strawberries.

I love eggnog! I remember my mom making it from scratch a few times when I was a kid, but mostly we had it out of a carton. We did "dress it up" a bit though, with soft serve frozen custard from Dairy Queen or Carvel. That was good stuff! So this recipe is only lightly spiked; feel free to increase the rum and bourbon to your heart's delight, or omit altogether if it's for the kids. Is eggnog part of your family holiday tradition? If so, how do you like it - with whipped egg whites or without?

Now if you really want to get all Martha on us you can make your own root beer from scratch, and serve it with homemade vanilla ice cream. Hank Shaw brought over some sassafras roots he foraged while on the East Coast and he cooked up the most amazingly delicious root beer with it. If you have access to sassafras, I highly recommend giving it a go!

Smoothies are haven for dieters and the health conscious. I make them often enough and is one of the many ways I make sure to get my 2-3 servings of fruits everyday. Pomegranate smoothie is one I have made on and oft when the season is ripe for pomegranates. But Pomegranate’s not in season now, so I thought of using

Drink Slngers rootbeer is a huge thumbs up! We had about 20 people over for a barbeque, and we made this drink in a large punch bowl. It was a huge success and we had to refill the bowl three times.

This recipe was easy as can be, and the results were fantastic.
